Ashley + Austin’s Big Boujee Party at Bolingbrook Golf Club
Ohhhh man, where do I even START with this one?! From the moment I met Ashley + Austin, I knew this day was going to be a perfect mix of elegance, hype, and straight-up FUN.
These two are nonstop energy—Ashley is a nurse, Austin’s a firefighter, and between crazy schedules and their love for adventure (and a good drink together), they knew their wedding had to feel 100% them. That meant intimate, emotional moments early in the day and an all-out PARTY when the reception hit. And trust me, they DELIVERED.
An I C O N I C Venue
The second I walked into Bolingbrook Golf Club, I was like, Ohhh, this is gonna be GOOD. We’re talking multilevel estate, massive chandeliers, a grand ballroom made for epic dance parties, and even a full bar downstairs. Oh, and did I mention LIV Golf was playing there the NEXT WEEK?! No big deal, just an iconic venue on its A-game.
Ashley + Austin said I do on a sun-drenched patio just outside the club, surrounded by their closest people. And guys—these two were SO intentional about soaking in every moment. Their first look? Literal tears. Their ceremony? Emotional and so, so sweet.
And then? Well. Then the GOLF CART happened.
Entrance. Dinner. PARTY!!!
You know when people say, go big or go home? Yeah. These two went BIG.
Grand entrance? Golf cart, music blasting, swinging it around like pros.
Dinner? Four-course, boujee, delicious.
Reception? PACKED. WALL TO WALL. ENERGY THROUGH THE ROOF.
Like, I have photographed a lot of dance parties, but this one was WILD in the best way. I don’t think the dance floor was empty for even a SECOND. They turned first dances into a full-blown club experience, and I just stood there with my camera like YESSS, THIS IS WHAT WE LIVE FOR.
Why This One Hit Different
Weddings like this remind me why I LOVE what I do as a Utah wedding photographer and videographer. Yes, I travel everywhere (hello, Chicago!!), but no matter where I am, the goal is the same: to capture the ENERGY. The PEOPLE. The LOVE. And this wedding? It had all of that.
Ashley planned every last detail (literally, she had a binder), and it was STUNNING—white, red, and green florals, candles everywhere, and just the right amount of luxury to balance out the hype. But the best part? How much they just let go and ENJOYED the day.
Ashley + Austin, I’m so dang happy I got to be part of this!! Now, excuse me while I go rewatch your wedding film and pretend I’m back on that dance floor.
